Finding Bliss in Troubled Times

"In these days of wars and rumors of wars, haven't you ever dreamed of a place where there was peace and security, where living was not a struggle but a lasting delight?"  -Lost Horizon,  by Frank Capra, 1937

These words, written 80 years ago, ring so true today.  Knowing how we spend so much time living in fear and anxiety today and the reflecting on these words by Capra, it puts things in a better perspective for me.  So I thought about the places where I'm most at ease and I find such delight in my surroundings...For me it is always the ocean.  Looking out to the horizon, taking in the blue and aqua water, and listening to the gentle roll of the ocean's movement and yes sunshine and even seagulls...soothe me and the struggle drops off.  I wish you all a place of living without struggle that delights you...that takes you away from he rumors of war.  Find your place, go often and in the end, the world will take care of itself.  Eighty years later, we are still here...
