We are so fortunate to have a great museum so close by.  I grew up not far from this museum and spent many a day here.  It was free for Salem residents and still today it is free for them.  I no longer live in Salem but I do support the Peabody Essex Museum and we take the boys there often.  They have grown to love it as much as we do.  Right now they are having an exhibit titled Play Timeand we went yesterday and we had a great day.  The boys played together and laughed a lot.  It made me so happy that we can provide this for them.  I look at it as sharing a piece of our own growing up.  Of course, we took their Mom here also when she was a little girl.
